showdown. american idol is starting to get to me, because it's the last two. clay and ruben. both great singers, but there is something about ruben. so of course, ruben gets my vote. as my mother and i were watching american idol with great anticipation, my mother was the most determined to get her vote through. she was calling already 30 minutes into the show. of course the lines don't open until the end of the show. at the end of the show, my mom is already on the line. my goodness. she's voting for clay, and i'm voting for ruben. so i sense a little tension between her and i, as i start dialing for ruben. i told her one vote each, because it wouldn't be fair. after my vote for ruben, my mom takes the phone. she starts dialing again. she said the vote is from my dad, and he likes clay. i know my dad never watches the show. so anyways, it was just a classic moment. good times. alright. bye.
